Guinness Open Gate Brew Run

April 18, 2020

2020 Guinness Open Gate Brewery Run will be RESCHEDULED.

New Date: Postponement Date TBD

UPDATE:  4/17/2020:  We hope you are staying healthy and safe during this unprecedented time in our country.   While we still do not have confirmation on our date, we know that the law enforcement departments who sign off on that decision are doing their part to tackle the novel coronavirus and will confirm our race day as soon as they can. Thoughts, prayers and thanks go out to each person on the front lines of this crisis.
We are still aiming for a Fall date and will make a formal announcement with your personal options as soon as we have it confirmed. In the meantime, do what you can to keep you mind body and spirit active and strong. We will get through this together.

UPDATE: 3/24/2020:   We are confident we will be able to set a new date, and we are working diligently toward that goal. We are currently targeting early Fall.  However, in light of Governor Hogan’s executive order on March 23rd to close nonessential Maryland businesses, this task may prove to be more difficult to achieve in a timely fashion. As soon as we have a definitive new date or other helpful information, we will communicate it via our social media channels, website and email.   Thank you for your patience and please be safe.

3/18/2020: As a precaution to combat the spread of COVID-19 the CDC, Governor Hogan, and local officials have issued guidelines discouraging events that consist of 10 or more people for the next eight weeks. As a result, the 2020 Guinness Open Gate Brewery Run will be RESCHEDULED.

After the new date is secured, your options will include:

  •  Running the rescheduled race date
  • A Virtual Run – You will receive your commemorative shirt and medal
  • Transfer to a Different CSE Race in 2020
  • Deferment to 2021 (with limited time frame of waived fees)

We ask for your patience as our partnering local health officials must prioritize their time to deal with the immediacy of the pandemic. We are grateful for their heroic efforts to serve their communities. This is an unprecedented global public health issue and we must do our part to act responsibly and protect our runners, volunteers, fans, sponsors and staff.

Per our policy, which every runner agrees to during the registration process, we do not offer refunds.
